Description: This is a 5.25” X 3.5” plaque depicting the legendary Marathon Runner that represents the Greek warrior running from marathon to Athens to aclnnounce the victory over the Persians in 490 BC. This was likely a souvenir piece purchased in Greece. This plaque is in excellent condition overall but as can be seen, there is some loosening of edges of note on back. This piece is made of a ceramic material and has a green/verdegris and black color for a more authentic looking piece.
