Description: Blessed Pope Paul VI Single Decade Rosary This brand new single decade rosary was handmade by me in the USA. It has a medal of one of our newest beatified persons - Pope Paul VI, the reformer pope.The 7/8" tall, oval medal is made of nickel silver and has a familiar image of Pope Paul VI with his hand up in blessing. The back of the medal has the pope's emblem with the words "IN NOMINE DOMINI" (IN GOD'S NAME) on the back. The silver-toned St Benedict crucifix is a 1-1/2" tall. The eleven beads are 8mm, faceted and fire-polished genuine Czech glass. The Our Father is a metallic gold/crystal bicolor. The ten Hail Mary beads are alternating dark aqua blue and a pale blue called "Ice Blue". He spoke out against birth control, pointing out that we need to find ways to care for all of humanity rather than trying to limit the number of guests at the table of Life. A learned man with a great deal of courage, he sadly died before Vatican II could get very far, but it was successfully guided by St Pope John XXIII. Blessed Paul VI is also considered a patron of the arts; although he may be assigned other patronages as time goes on.
