Description: Soon after designing his first cover for Harper’s Bazar in 1915, Erté received a ten-year contract to work exclusively for the magazine. He ultimately contributed over 240 covers featuring his signature art-deco style illustrations to the fashion glossy between 1915 and 1936. The covers, which combine large swaths of uninterrupted color with minute, whimsical details, presage his numerous stage set designs. All pages are intact and still tight. The spine has some wear. The front cover has slight tearing as shown. 100 years old and doing fine!
