Description: This is a wonderful antique OYSTER PLATE done in High Relief - featuring 6 natural shaped Oyster Shell Wells on a bed of realistic looking Seaweed.  There are a couple of red Crabs and a border of Fish, Bugs, Shells, Snails and Oysters - trimed in Gold.  Great details - one shell wraps around the edge to the back (see pics).  The shape is Round rather than the more often found Clam Shell shape oyster plates made by UPW - Union Poorcelain Works of Greenpoint, N.Y., patent date - Feb. 4th, 1879.
