Description: This book is in good condition but it's confusing as to actual pub date. It's spiral bound so maybe it was bound later? Still a good read of an area with lots of history. Theodore Clemens Wohlbrck (18791936), known as "T.C." Wohlbrck, was a photographer who arrived in California in 1912. He made his living by traveling around the state in his automobile. T.C. decided to build what he called a "Lookout" and "Canteen Service Station" at Emigrant Gap along the Lincoln Highways northern route. The Echo Summit canteen still exists as the Alpine Club Lodgehouse and even includes some of TCs handmade furniture. Maybe these books were sold at his canteens.
