Description: Condition: excellent pre-owned condition with a beautiful patina. There is a small amount of tarnish that can be removed, I leave all deep cleaning to the buyer. These came from an estate sale. Marked "mexico silver" on the back of the stud. Approximately 1" x .5" Hubert Pickering Harmon is known for being an influential artist who designedsilver jewelryin Taxco, Mexico, in the 1940s. His collaborations include notables such as Christian Dior, Schiaparelli, and Paul Flato. His workshop, established in the early in the decade, employed numerous silversmiths who would interpret his designs. (I believe that is what these are, since they are not marked with the Harmon name, as well. Also, there is not room for one of his full stamps so, they could be his original work. He worked mainly in silver.) He lived in Taxco for a short period before relocating to Mexico City, although he continued to travel back to visit his workshop. The limited amount of jewelry made in his shop is known for fancifully illustrating his personality and interests rather than interpreting traditional Mexican motifs. Shipped with priority mail, insurance, and signature upon receiving.
