Description: IMPERIAL Well-Made Very Vintage Boy Scouts of America Pocketknife: This knife could be called a dinosaur...Imperial started "cheaping" their knives in 1949 when they started using slot-assembly and hollow handles for their folding knives. This (pictured) pin-construction and slab-handle knife was made for the Boy Scouts of America. I've seen them with brown, imitation burnt stag, or black handles (all plastic), and one that looks like a Victorinox knife. Most have had a round BSA or Cub Scout logo on front; early Imperials had a "badge" symbol. Scout knives have a tradition to follow so Imperial continued with the camp knife as before. I don't know when they stopped. Blades have patina but shined up well. Pin at head has been tightened and peened. Cavity is clean. Brass frame is square and solid. Handles have no imperfections. Springs are intact and give fair walk and talk (remember, it is seventy-some years old). This pattern is historic to the BSA and to Imperial. Mailing only to USA-48.
