Description: This auction is for the 1964 LP titled ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUND TRACK “Goldfinger”, catalog UAL 4117. Included are the vinyl disc, the original cover, and the original inner paper record protective sleeve. The LP cover exhibits some shelf wear and staining, it is split along the lower right side, and there are some indentations and creases as seen in the photos. I’m grading it as VG. Oddly this LP cover doesn’t have a “gold tone” sheen on the cover. Perhaps it was sun faded over time. The LP I have also graded as VG as it has some scuffs and scratches that I tried to capture as best I could in the a photos. I played both sides this LP completely through on my audio-technica AT-LP60XBT turntable without issues. This record plays well albeit there is some surface noise, and ticks & pops given the condition of the vinyl. Still it’s a great listening experience. This LP includes the Goldfinger instrumental version that opens side 2, which is such a cool song that Tom Petty covered it in his “Live at the Fillmore” performance in 1997.
