Description: Japanese Lacquered Writing Box This is a lovely pre-owned Japaense lacquered writing box. Dimensions are 7.5" long and 5" wide. The inside of the box contains a folded piece of paper containing Japanese text. The main text gives a history of lacquer arts. I uploaded the images to Google Translate and have included Google's translations in the photos above. The box is in good condition. There are some very small "dings" on the lid and minor scratches. The bottom of the box contains some more pronounced scratches, as shown in the photos. The reddish-orange color with gold accents/design of this box make it a nice, eye-catching addition to any room.
