Description: Just Folks Edgar Guest Newspaper Clippings 1930 Ephemera Lot of 21 Panels, #3 These were clipped from the Terre Haute Indiana newspaper and marked 1930 copyright. I do not know these particular ones are also in one of his books, or if they were originals that were unique to Newspaper syndication. They do not have dates printed on them other than the year. They were loose inside a large scrapbook which also contained many clippings of Tarzan cartoons from the same newspaper publication, and the Tarzan cartoons actually had months/years dates on them, most of which were 1929, as well as similiar type panel clippings of another newspaper syndication called "Sonny Sayings". Auction is for the lot of 21 clippings/panels. Condition is what I would call "fair to good", but keep in mind I am NOT a collector, I just ended up with a lot of this stuff to sell. They are mostly flat, a few have some folds but not to the point that the paper is ready to tear. This was all part of a scrapbook collection a young girl was keeping, so nothing has been professionally done. From non smoking home, but I'm sure there is some yellowing from age since they are approx 90 yeas old. I've included some closeup shots of most if not all of them as well. Snippets of old advertisements/stories of the day are on the back of them. I will have more lots of these as I work my way through them. The " #1, #2, #3 etc " reference in title simply is for my own reference & use of keeping the lots straight so that you get the ones you paid for, it has no bearing whatsoever on the quality or any sort of rating or grading scale. I didn't have enough left in good enough condition to make this another lot with 42 in it like the other lots I have for sale, but there is still a handful of lesser condition ones that I'm including as a bonus in this lot...no sense in tossing them, they add no significant weight. That handful is in the very last photo, I didn't count them.
