Description: “IXL” would mean “I excel”. Identified as a Kyser and Rex bank by last owner; if that is correct then it would have been made between 1879 and 1899 by the company based in Frankfort, Pennsylvania. I have seen others of this model but without the cool red paint on the front. Top is cracked as can be seen in last pic; someone must have overtightened the screw at some point in the past.
