Description: An Original opening night Dec. 1947 Las Vegas hotel casino Flamingo figurine. EXCELLENT CONDITION = NO ISSUES. COMES WITH BASE & DOME.base is "wood" and the dome is plastic. as I displayed it, I had green string holding down the bird to the base & black string holding down the dome to the base. Last photo shows base upside down where you can see the holes for the string.Also the base is cut out so one can pick up and see the markings through the base. green "felt" on base top. original casino dice & token attached to the base (not of the 1946 era ). As history states , Benny had 150 of these made for his grand opening night, as gifts for actors, local politicians ,ect. and many were broken that night with all the drinking , ect. cheapest one you'll see on e-bay. one is up for over 5 grand & it was broken and badly repaired. real chance for a documented piece of casino history. Bird will be bubble wrapped alone, with the dome & base separate. you need to tie the parts down if you wish (string or twisty ties). center piece for any collection !!! size roughly 7 inch across (base) X 12 1/2 top of dome. just under 2 pounds any questions ?? need more photos ?? will be shipped priority mail. IF you want additional insurance , tell me as I can't buy it here on ebay And you'll have to pay for it. last one I sold here, went for just over $2,000.00 6 months ago. that was with out base or dome.
