Description: This listing is for a lot of eight Scholastic First Discovery children's learning books. The books are used/pre-owned and are in acceptable condition. The books are from sometime in the 1990s and they have some solid pages and some transparent pages so that when the kids flip through the books it reveals some new information. The books in this listing are: 1.) Cats - this book is the worst condition of the books. It has indentation damage marks in the top of the book (front cover, back cover and top of spine), some smaller scratch indentation and marks on the spine. 2.) The Tree - has some indentation marks on the front (right above the 2nd E in "Tree" and right under the green pinecone)3.) The Camera4.) The Rain Forest5.) The River - has a stain on the inside back cover at the top.6.) Castles7.) Light8.) The Earth and Sky Pics have been included of the front and backs of the books as well as up close pics of the ones with damage. There is also a picture of the Castles book to show an example of how the transparency pages are set up. In the example photo It shows the view of some knight approaching and on the other page what the town inside the castle walls looks like and the portcullis is the transparency page that can be flipped back and forth. In some of the books there will more of a change than this such as in ones that show what the inside of an animal's nest looks like or an underground burrow, etc. Default shipping is for Media Mail, but after buying it will show Ground Advantage USPS if someone wants it although the price for most people will be higher with USPS G.A.
