Description: Presented is a lovely 21-piece Japanese satsuma tea set from the late 19th century to early 20th century. This set displays a cream color with a branch decoration and cherry blossom flowers coming down from the branch. All pieces show the same red border with a gilded pattern. All pieces also have decorative craquelure and a signature mark. The set includes: 6 Cups: 4 inches from end to handle and 1 7/8 inches tall 6 Saucers: 5 1/4 inches in diameter 6 Plates: 6 3/8 inches in diameter 1 Teapot: 7 1/2 inches spout to handle and 4 inches tall 1 Sugar Bowl: 5 3/8 inches from handle to handle and 3 1/2 inches tall 1 Creamer: 5 1/2 inches from spout to handle and 3 1/2 inches tall When we received this set, there were papers along with it giving some of this history of the previous owners of the set and restoration information. We will include these papers with the shipment. The set is in good overall condition, especially considering age. This set has had restoration work done by a professional. Two of the cups have had significant repairs. One of the handles on the sugar bowl has been redone. The spout on the teapot displays a two-tone nature on the base color, but this is likely not a sign of a repair. One of the saucers has had significant repairs. Two of the plates have breaks on the edge that have been reattached. There is some discoloration across the set. Let the photos be your guide. -kc Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
