Description: This is a lovely teapot from the Lu-Ray Pastels Line by Taylor, Smith & Taylor (TS&T) in Surf Green (pale green). The teapot features a curved spout, which replaced a flat spout design sometime in the 1940s. The teapot exterior is in fine condition, showing just minor wear There are a few flaws that are not visible until the lid is removed -- a small chip on the rim where the lid sits; a small hairline crack on the same rim; and crazing in the teapot interior. All flaws appear in the photographs. This teapot was indeed used at one time! The Lu-Ray teapots typically were not logo stamped on their bottom. Catalog value is in the $45-$65 price range. The flaws of this item are reflected in my selling price. Most importantly, the flaws are minor and the exterior of the teapot looks great.
