This stunning page is from 1993s X-Factor #90 page 17 written by Joe Quesada, pencils by Joe Quesada and an individual named Buzz" Aldrin Aw, inks by Al Milgrom and lettering by Richard Starkkngs. I cant really explain the 2nd page that is INCLUDED in this sale other than it is exactly the same. One page is on vellum or some such, same size, with same white out dots on the visor on one of the characters and the other is a xerox copy glued to a cardstock type board and it has the talking bubbles added to it. A friend said..." Normally when there is an overlay page on a comic art piece, it usually is because it adds effects over the original art. This tracing seems to be exactly the same as the original drawing underneath and actually obscures the text balloons beneath. It really is confusing.".. one of my other repeat buyers advised me what it was so I removed the original listing, dropped the price and am including what they said here...:" I think I can explain this - for whatever reason the inker did not have the original penciled page for this page and was given a copy of the pencils and the inker used the vellum to ink on with the copy underneath. The page on bristol board is a stat ( a mechanical copy like a xerox) of those inks that was placed on the board - perhaps so the letterer could proceed. If you hold the page that has the stat on it up to a very strong light and can see something underneath ".... I have included an image with the vellum art held up to light, the ink is clearly visible and some markings under it. I love how the faces and postures in the boxes along the top, align with the shadow figures lining the balcony. I have included a colorized final version of the image from a final comic book for your enjoyment in the photos for comparison( color version not included in sale) Artworks are in used condition.
