Description: Heavy, Vintage Italian Art Glass Vase Description and Item Information Up for sale is this huge, vintage Seguso Vetri d'Arte art glass vase. Please excuse the glare in the photos. This impressive and dramatic glass vessel stands approximately 15 1/2 inches tall, and it has an upper rim diameter of about 8 3/8 inches. Unpacked, it weighs approximately 17 pounds 5.5 ounces. The glass is pale blue (almost clear), with areas of cobalt blue. It has controlled bubbles (bullicante). The flat base is ground and polished. This monumental piece would be a fine addition to a collection of vintage Venetian art glass, or it would look lovely in a mid-century modern decor. Identification This vintage vase retains its original (somewhat worn) Seguso Vetri D'Arte label, as shown. It was made in Italy. Condition The vase looks good overall, with no chips or cracks. There is minor rim wear. There are some horizontal, linear scratches to the exterior, encircling the vase, about 3 inches down from the rim (examples shown). A scattered scuff or scratch here or there elsewhere does not detract. The base has some wear scratches, as expected for a heavy piece. Some patches of fine creases / stretch marks in the glass surface are as made. Please review the photos, and ask any necessary questions prior to bidding or buying. Terms of Sale 1.
