NEW 5 Round Box Magazine for Thompson Center VENTURE (.243, 6.5CM, .308, 7mm-08)

Description: Finally, magazines are once again available for the Thompson Center Venture rifles! Our NT-Mags are a vertical feed box magazine design available in 5-round or 10-round capacities. Best of all, these mags are made in the USA! These NT-Mags are for Thompson Center Venture rifles chambered in .308-based cartridges (.243, 6.5 creedmoor, 7mm-08, and .308) and have a maximum overall cartridge length of 72.5mm or 2.85 inches.Far sturdier and more durable than the original 3-round mags, our NT-Mags for the TC Venture also feature an extended latch, so no more fumbling to remove a mag with cold fingers or while wearing gloves! The mag bodies are made from polyethylene terephthalate glycol (PETG) thermoplastic with embedded carbon fiber for added strength and rigidity. These magazine bodies have excellent chemical and oil resistance and can resist temperatures up to 160 degrees! The exterior is textured to better match the finish and color on the TC Venture rifle. The follower and locking tab are a high-vis orange color while the dark gray release latch is a carbon fiber composite for strength and durability. These are not yet compatible with the older T/C Dimension rifles as the Dimension caliber conversion inserts are a slightly different shape than the T/C Venture magwell (the Venture is wider so our Venture NT-Mags are slightly too wide for the Dimension caliber inserts). We're working on releasing new inserts for the Dimension rifles and modifying our Venture NT-Mag design so that it's compatible with both the Venture and Dimension rifles. NT-Mags may not be compatible with aftermarket stocks! When inserting the original T/C Venture magazines and our NT-Mags the locking tab on the back of the mag has to seat first before the front latch will engage. Angle the top of the mag towards the front of the magwell slightly when inserting the mag, then rock it backwards so that the rear tab engages the slot in the rear of the magwell engage and the front latch clicks into place. It will not take any force to do this, the shape of the magazine and magwell will guide it into place. To remove them it's the exact opposite order, press the latch at the front then rock the mag backwards slightly to disengage the rear tab from it's slot and pull out the mag. Once you've done this a few times it'll be a smooth motion as the edges of the rear locking tab on the magazine wear into the shape of the notch on the back of the rifle's magwell.
