Description: This is the SNAP ON WOOD FOREND w/ HARDWARE off of a NEW WORCESTER Hammerless 12ga SxS Double Barrel Shotgun. In used condition with handling dings & scuffs from use. No chips or cracks noticed but it does have handling dings & scuffs. Hardware is attached. You get exact items pictured. I done some google searches on this old double barrel and this is the info I found reading forums:"Torkalson Arms Company. Gun maker located in the Reed Building on Maple Street in Warren, MA from 1902 to 1908. (There is no mention of his being located in Worcester,MA). The firm was founded by Rhienhard Torkalson and manufactured a hammerless double called the NEW WORCESTER. Prior to the time he established his own company, Torkalson had worked for both Iver Johnson and Andrew Fyrberg. These shotguns were made in both 12 and 16 gauge and were available with either twist or plain steel barrels. I have the SxS Double barrel & other parts to this shotgun listed separately.
