NOMURA MECHANIZED ROBOT TIN TOY ORIGINAL 1957

Description: This is an original tin 1957 Nomura Mechanized Robot or Robby with its original box. This is the first version with small battery door knobs. He is in amazingly original condition with little damage, paint loss or other usual signs of play use. The battery compartments are very clean indeed. This robot has clearly been well cared for and looked after and his superb overall cosmetic condition is rare for this age of tin robot toy. The box is missing one end of the lid and does show its age. He walks and lights up but rotates in one spot possibly due to belt slip. His pistons and antennae do not turn due to belt slip. The drive belts harden with age and lose their grip which is not unusual for a Mechanized Robot of this age. Changing his rubber drive belts would undoubtedly improve his operation. I do not deliver to PO Box addresses because the services that I use will not deliver to them. Payment in full is expected within 5 days of the end of the auction.
