This module snaps onto the side of a T7316E Norstar phone, and plugs into the bottom of the T7316E. This unit is Platinum Gray (Grey) color. This item is sometimes referred to as a BLF, or busy lamp field, or a DSS, direct station selector, or a CAP, central answering position. There is no power supply required, this T24 takes its power from the T7316E that it's attached to. Once connected to your T7316E phone, this unit provides 24 programmable one-touch buttons. Those buttons can be any combination of station monitor buttons, one-touch selector buttons, line buttons, or feature keys. You could program the keys to be some of the users on your phone system, by pressing FEATURE star 2, pressing the button you wish to program on the new T24, and entering the person's 2-digit extension number. From then onward, whenever that user is on their telephone, the lamp beside the button you just programmed, will illuminate, showing that they are on the telephone. This unit is ideal for any busy office, for the reception position, or the manager / supervisor position, or for human resources, etc.... anyplace where it is helpful to see who is on the phone with one quick glance. Or, for Norstar phone systems with more phone lines than the 16 which can be programmed on a T7316E, you can add up to 24 more phone lines to your telephone, using this T24 module. This T24 is brand new, in its original Nortel box. It comes complete with the original user guide, new slips for under the labels, and the plastic labels for the buttons. Up to 4 of these T24 modules can be attached to a T7316E phone. (T24s will work on Norstar phone systems like CICS or MICS, with software version 6.1 or above, or a BCM with software version 3.5 or above. If your software version is lower than that, some or all of the T24s features may not work properly.) Please be sure that your T7316E phone is an E version.... because the non-E version of the older T7316 will not work with this module... the connector isn't present on the bottom of the T7316, and the KIM won't be able to attach to the side of the phone. If you don't know if your T7316 phone is an E or a non-E version, contact us and we will help you figure that out. And if you don't know what version of software your phone system is running, please contact us and we will help you to figure that out, to double-check that this T24 will work properly on your phone system.
