Description: This is an original GM driver's side exhaust manifold for a Big Block Chevy engine. The casting number is 3909879. The 3909879 exhaust manifold was used on 1967-69 Camaros, Chevelles, and Novas with the 396, 427, and 454 engines in all horsepower variants with or without California SMOG equipment. This particular manifold is setup to accept SMOG lines which was reserved for factory solid lifter engines and many applications sold in California. The casting date is B 7 8 which decodes as February 7th, 1968. The date code is on the backside of the manifold and is not seen when installed. This manifold will likely also for other years and models. Please confirm your specific application. This is a very hard to find OEM GM exhaust manifold. This exhaust manifold is in very good original condition as shown. It has been media blasted to bare metal to check for damage. It is in bare metal with a coat of WD-40 to protect it from surface corrosion. There is no pitting on this manifold. The casting number and date code are intact and legible as shown. I see no breaks or repairs to this manifold. All 3 manifold to pipe studs are intact and in good condition as shown. There is one area that looks like it may have been lightly clearanced as shown.
