Description: Two Vintage Watercolor Paintings byR.G. SmithOne piece of thick textured art paper, paintings front and back. - Abandoned structures; abandoned mining, ghost town, somewhere in a California desert.circa 1950s. ~ Original Un-Signed ~ Image on textured art paper: 22 1/2" x 15 1/2" My grandfather, passed away in 2001, was arguably the greatest aviation artist in the history of aviation, he also enjoyed painting non-aviation subjects such as harbor scenes, nudes, western, Indian, ghost towns/mining, desert and landscapes. There is a great deal of information available about him on the internet and a book about him called "R.G. Smith A Man and His Art". I can't say for sure about why my grandfather painted on both sides of the art paper, except to say he was a very practical man and would have considered it wasteful not to use both sides. Condition: Please see pics, use zoom. Unframed. Paintings on both sides. US Shipping: usps priority plus insurance.International buyer please contact me for shipping quote.
