In high neck with standing collar or open neck with flat collar, with one-seam sleeves in full-length, dart-fitted to elbow or bishop sleeves or without sleeves. Perforated for yoke facing or chemisette. An example from Lippincotts’ Manual, written in 1914, shows a guimpe made of silk net. It has zigzag stays to make the collar stand up.
