Description: This Pre-WW1 Portuguese Army M1904 Mauser-Vergueiro Rifle Sword Bayonet is in good condition overall but shows expected signs of age and service. The blade is stamped on it's ricasso "SIMSON & CO SUHL" which indicates production took place in Germany by steel manufacturer Simson & Company. The spine and pommel are also marked. The blade shows expected signs of past service and use though no damage from abuse or neglect are detectable. The wood grips are in good condition and are free from any cracks or other noticeable damage. The press stud on the pommel is free and appears to function as you would expect.
