Description: Rare! I know, everyone uses this term to describe their item. But finding a "double sized" 1940 Alka-Seltzer Cardboard trolley car sign that is 42" (as compared to the usual 21" size) is indeed a rare find! It measures 42" by 11" (instead of the 21" by 11").Several smaller tears in the sign and I concentrated on photographing one side mainly to get images of the imperfections of the sign (because we all want to see what is wrong with the item, not what is good). Very nice colors and images, all of the characters using the "cartoon" bubble speak.And to find an 83 year old cardboard sign without a big bend or fold in it is a great thing. I will use a thin piece of wood paneling to protect the sign in shipping (as well as a 1" panel of pink foam board on the other side).I have had over 100 trolley car signs and this is the FIRST time that I have come across a 42" double sized one!
