Description: Vintage Roseville Pottery Snowberry Vase Jardinière Green Background Color Made in Zanesville Ohio USA circa 1947 Mold IRB-6. From my personal collection where the vase has rested quietly in a display cabinet behind glass for 25 years. From "Roseville In All Its Splendor" by Jack and Nancy Bomm Snowberry - Circa July 1947The Snowberry pattern has several clusters of white berries with sparse green leaves on brown winding branches in a variety of designs. It came on a smooth satin finish with an assortment of background colors; blue, green or soft rose. Each shape has a blending or shading to highlight handles, bases and edges, plus a blending of a lighter color to show off the cluster of snowberries. Few of the 62 available shapes were exclusive of this line. Most of the molds were borrowed from other lines. Some of the changes made were the addition of pointed handles. They were marked with a raised "Roseville, U.S.A." and used a special letter code in the style number to identify the type of shape; V-vase, BL-bowl and CS- candle stick. Condition is Vintage Preowned; no chips cracks or repairs. Typical use consistent with age, but very light - see photos & . Photos 14 & 15 show a glaze skip where the glaze stopped short of the bottom edge.
