Description: Royal Bonn Sevres Hand Painted Floral Raised Gold Cobalt Dog Finial Urn / Jar Nice antique German faience urn / jar. Decorated with hand painted flowers in pink, white, red, purple, blue and yellow over white framed in gold beaded flowers and raised gold scrollwork. The jar has a cobalt and green background. With a gold gilt and cobalt figural dog finial on the lid. Has an impressed FAM monogram mark on the bottom. This mark was used by Franz Anton Mehlem, Royal Bonn between 1870 and 1920. Also marked with a red crown above Sevres. Has crazing typical of earthenware, some wear to the gilding, and has a repair to the foot rim of the jar, and a small chip to one of the dog's ears. Otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 6 inches wide x 13 1/2 inches tall to the top of the lid finial. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece. KW
