Description: A stamp on the back identifies this photograph by Scott D. Christopher Photography in Santa Fe. New Mexico - and the artist, Taos painter Ed Sandoval, known for his studies of rural NM life. This is a photograph of Sandoval's oil on canvas painting titled "Lupita" dated 1991. It shows a pig in the foreground on a rock-lined path heading to a village/farmstead. Very colorful, Sandoval primed his canvas with a deep red undercoat, which comes through loud and clear. Reds, blues, purples, and tans (with a bit of black) complete it. The photograph comes with a white matte in a blue, high-quality Nielsen metal frame 8 1/4" x 10 1/4". The image alone is 3 3/4" x 5 3/4". The shiny glass has a small scratch in the lower right, about 1" from the corner. It is not at all visually distracting. The frame has some wear, touch-up-able, but IMHO fine as-is. See photos.
