Recently on the memoriam page, Mary Goslen was honored on the Piedmont Craftmen website of which Mary Goslen was a founding member. They offered a quote by the spirited and talented artist. Goslen wrote: 'My work reflects my response to life which is constantly flowing and changing. My imagery comes from stored-up visual experience. I absorb my subject; forms are etched in my mind more from observation than from sketching. My purpose is to penetrate the inner reality of my subject matter, to capture its essence, and then to translate it onto paper in the most suitable media.' It is for certain she was aware of her talents as a great artist, but she also was very much in tune with another side of her she shared with many -- The Healing Art of Reiki of which she was a Master. Incredible artist, woman and healer. Whenever there is a memoriam of such talent, one can only be grateful the artist lives on in her fabulous art.
