Description: Hey there, thanks for stopping by to have a look! This listing is for a Soldano Super Lead 60 Series II amplifier head. I got this one back in the mid 2000s. I used this one in the studio all the time when I played hard rock and metal guitar. One time the preamp knob broke when I was adjusting it, I knew Mike Soldano through a friend and I took it to his shop in Seattle to have it fixed. So Mike told me, this series was manufactured by his distributors in Japan, they used those mini pots and low quality jacks. They replaced all the pots and jacks, see photos of inside. He also said that this one has an output transformer that is not the same as what he uses and some player would seek out this amp for a slight variation on the Soldano overdrive. Other things he also told me was to use JJ preamp tubes because the other brands seems to make more noise. Since those parts have been replaced this has been a solid amp to use for high gain guitar. I have also replaced the rubber feet as the original rubber flaked and broke into tiny pieces. Typically, I have the gain around 5, this seems to be similar to Marshall JMP on 10 but with tight low end. This amp is now pretty hard to find and is a real gem if you play high gain rock / metal guitar! Buyer pays shipping, I will only ship this item to US mainland due to cost.
