The M1881 helmet has the dark felt outer covering, with a Army Eagle Cavalry Plate and Cavalry side buttons. It has the Cavalry Yellow Horse Hair Plume assembly and the Cavalry Yellow Braided Cords. Some wear on the outer felt covering, see photos. No dents in the fiber shell. The interior no longer has leather sweat band. There are no manufacturer markings. It has no size tag.
