Description: Spanish American War Era Glass Plate Negative - Four Soldiers / Officers In Uniform The four are posing outdoors, likely somewhere in New England, as the slide was found in Upstate New York. There is a building or group of buildings behind them, and a group of civilians can be seen gathered at the far left in the background. Another man is peeking out from behind one of the officers (3rd in from the left), and appears to have a white bandage wrapping his head - he is also holding a cane, just visible in his hand. It is possible he was not meant to be part of the photo was just passing by. Given the totality of the scene, my first thought was some kind of soldier's home or convalescent facility, though there are no real clues as to the location that I could discern. Includes the small paper envelope it was found in, marked "Un-Printed" in pencil. Measures 4" x 5" Shows a little wear/loss to the emulsion near the top edge. See photographs for details.
