Description: This auction is for a Special Mitchell model 403 spinning reel. The same reel was sold in the USA by Garcia. The reel is new with its original box and two instruction manuals. When this model was introduced in 1964 it was the high speed version of the model 303. As such it was sold with the same instruction manual as that for the 303 but also came with a booklet identifying the features of the new 403. The serial number on the reel seat is 1176435 which I believe dates the reel to approx 1970. A high quality reel in pristine condition and made in France. This reel has never been used but there are some faint markings on the reel seat near the serial number.
