DIMENSIONS: 33” H x 18” H Stephen John Skerce a world renowned artist known for his landscapes, seascapes, and abstract scenes has passed away at the age of 83 on October 10th, 2010 from a heart related sickness. He is survived by his son Stephen and his daughter Renata, he also has 7 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. He was a resident of Monterey County for 40+ years and resided in Salinas California for 19 years till the time of his death. He was a member of both the Valley Art Gallery in Salinas and Venture Gallery in Monterey and spent most of his time with his friends at the Salinas Art School. He served time in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged from Treasure Island in San Francisco. He will be missed greatly by his family as well as his friends. The family will be having a memorial service and full Military burial on Wednesday Oct. 20th at 4:00pm with is wife of 40+ years Helen Marilyn Skerce, who passed away on December 29,1991
