(S/N 0110xx). The lens includes original caps and hood, and a Tiffen 77mm UV filter. This lens is for Alpha mount Sony DSLRs and SLTs. You will need an adapter to use it on Sony E mount cameras. Cosmetically, the lens looks unused and in new condition. The grips are clean and pristine, and no scuffs or wear to body surfaces. Even the caps look new. Optically, there is pristine glass inside and out, with no dust, no fungus or blemishes to report. The aperture is dry and snappy and the mount looks new as well. The previous owner reported only a handful of uses. Tamron is another 3rd party manufacturer of Alpha mount lenses that offers excellent build and optics, comparable or better than OEM, but at a better price. The build on this lens is second to none, and the AF is fast. The lens has the classic gold ring look of better Tamron lenses. The “SP” denotes “Super Performance”, which is the company’s brand of more specialized and higher performance optics. Low Dispersion aspherical glass elements are a part of the optical formula and special Di II digital coatings which are optimized for digital sensors and to reduce reflections and ghosting are also engineered into the lens.
