Description: Very Clean Complete 9 volume collection (8 Books + Index) EXCEPT VOLUME VII has what appears to be TERMITE DAMAGE (two holes through the middle of the book), but close inspection shows that the other 8 books were unaffected. - Looks like the covers have been exposed to sunlight and have some sun fading. - All books look as if they just set on a shelf and were never read. - Bindings are tight. - Covers are solid - Pages are straight, unwrinkled, uncreased, with no sign of water damage like some of these I've seen. - Very little if any glue discoloring on the inside creases (only found a few minor spots) - No handwritten writings, notes, markings, or signatures anywhere - See pictures to judge for yourself as to the condition of the books. The third to last picture is indicative of the inside of all of the books EXCEPT Volume VII. Volume VII damage is clearly shown in the final two pictures. It looks as if a termite burrowed through two small holes in the bottom in two places and went into the book parallel to the cover. The first 200 pages are affected to some degree but only about pages 50-100 are as severe as shown in the final two pictures. The two pictures are the worst of it, with some pages just having a small hole or smaller cut in them. If someone is looking for a good clean non-marked up complete set to read this would work well for that purpose. If someone replaces Volume VII, this would also make a very good complete example of this collective Lincoln work. No returns on this. Ask questions before bidding. Will be shipped media mail.
