Considerable wear around the corners, edges and spine. Top, bottom spine torn, Corners, spine bumped. Covers scuffed. Gold imprinting on front cover is fading. Inside, end papers are yellowed with wear marks. Owner's name in ink on the inside front end page. Water marks on the bottom pf the pages at the spine. No inside markings. Pages are clean but yellowed. A couple of dog eared pages. It's thought that this version and others were popular during WWII because of their thin paper pages and ease of transport. 4.5" x 7". 481 pages. The Bible: An American Translation is an English version of the Bible consisting of the Old Testament translated by a group of scholars under the editorship of John Merlin Powis Smith, the Apocrypha translated by Edgar J.
