It can't handle even the slightest, most insignificant blip on the surface of a DVD or else it'll freeze up and refuse to play further. As a result, DVDs which most folks can watch without problems become a real chore to watch. Because of this, we ended up purchasing a coupla extra seasons of The Sopranos just to get past one or two blips. When one DVD wouldn't play, we'd pop in the replacement DVD and watch it instead. We'd mix-n-match until we got through the whole series again, and now that we're done with it, we're realizing we may have spent more money than necessary buying extra seasons...but...we figured it couldn't hurt to have the extras on hand for just-in-cases. So...that's why the duplicates. Now you know...and now you can own them ALL! :-) Again, chances are you'll be able to play every disc without problem (unless you own a finicky player like ours)...but this is why you're getting the extras. Keep the extras, or sell em here on ebay, whatever you want to do with them is okay with us. NOTE: We are not a retail store, nor are we experts in DVDs of any kind.
