Description: This is a vintage original 1930 silver gelatin / glossy photograph from the talky version of the film "The Unholy Three" starring Lon Chaney. The photo belonged to midget actor Harry Earles (aka Harry Doll) who costarred in the film (shown here smoking a cigar). This was the only sound film which Lon Chaney starred in; notice the huge microphone at the top of this rare behind-the-scenes photo. The photo is 8x10 and a small portion of the original studio snipe is attached on reverse. I acquired this and a few additional photos from midget sibling Tiny Doll, the youngest sister of Harry Earles. (See a photo of Tiny Doll that I took at her home in Florida in the early 1990s when she gave me the photo; snapshot not included in the auction.) The photo has great clarity and contrast. This comes from Stephen Cox, author of the nostalgia book The Munchkins of Oz (Cumberland House). Note: this is a vintage original glossy photograph. Of course, the watermarks "screengems" and "ebay" do not appear on the actual item. Good to very good condition. Mega-RARE!
