Description: This is a very rare hardcover TRUE First Edition of Robert Ludlum's second book, The Osterman Weekend, published in 1972. This might be the only true first edition on Ebay at this time. What signifies this book as a first edition is the presence of the price $6.95 on the inside front flap and the code "A3918" on the rear outside flap on the bottom corner. ONLY these numbers indicate a true first edition. If pictures of the book on other auctions do not show them then it is probably not a first edition. This is a very desirable collectible copy of this book. The very brittle glassine jacket does have a few flaws.All 8 corners have either a small crack or chip. The top and bottom have small chips as well. You can see these in the pictures . The blue textured cover is a very vibrant blue. This book is almost in the same condition as it was when published 51 years ago. This is also why the price is higher than on other auctions but it is in line with Antiquarian Book Stores prices.
