Description: This is one hell of a print! Measuring 18 x 26 inches, printed via silkscreen, on heavy stock suitable for silkscreen printing, this is THE iconic scene in JRR Tolkien's THE LORD OF THE RINGS: the confrontation between the ancient Balrog and Gandalf the Grey (who, after falling with the Balrog deep in the depths of subterranean Middle-earth, comes back as Gandalf the White). The Balrog may have balls of fire, but Galdalf's got a pair, too. Artists have interpreted and reinterpreted this scene since the 1950s, redolent with symbolism: ultimate evil against ultimate good, but who, or what, will prevail? This print is suitable for framing. It is in near mint condition. ********************SHIPPING: We do not ship outside the U.S. because shipping costs have been "adjusted" for various, expensive fees that we have paid for out of our pocket. We can no longer afford to do so. So for now, then, we are shipping by Media Mail, USPS, within the U.S. only. If you are outside the U.S. and order, we will cancel the order and return your payment in full. CONDITION: We inspect each book carefully, and try to describe its flaws as accurately as possible. In the past, I've said a book is "mint" and a few buyers have complained they aren't "mint." So the best condition I use is now "near mint" even if I think it's "mint" (or "fine"). We are BOOKMINT on eBay, for over 25 years, with a 99% satisfaction rating, and thousands of transactions. Please check out our feedback: We know how to pack books well. (We are collectors, too!) _gsrx_vers_1680 (GS 9.8.3 (1680))
