What I want you to know about my gemstone beads is that in the 14 years I ran my store, I made regular trips into the bead district in New York and chose each and every strand of beads personally. I think you will be happy with them. These are 16" strands (approx. 100 beads per strand) of 4mm carnelian beads. Most carnelian originates as a dull brown agate. When skillfully heat-treated, it becomes a bright, burnt-orange. Carnelian was used in Roman times to protect against envy, fear and rage. These are a beautiful uniform color.
