Description: Victor "Vic" Ruggiero is a musician & songwriter from New York City who, aside from his alt country/blues/rock solo projects, has played in reggae, blues, ska & rocksteady bands since the 1990s, including The Slackers, Stubborn All-Stars, SKAndalous All Stars, Crazy Baldhead & The Silencers. Ruggiero is known as a singer & organist, but also plays piano, bass, banjo, cigar box guitar, guitar, harmonica and percussion. Guest appearances as organist include with famous artists like Rancid, The Transplants & Roger Miret And The Disasters. Ruggiero is known for a distinct Bronx accent that has a deep, raw quality. His lyrics usually follow several themes, including the apocalypse, dark humor, political distrust, paranoia, murder, irony, romance & loneliness. His songs range from narrative ballads to whimsical tunes inspired by Beat generation poets, authors & songwriters like Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg & John Lennon. Something In My Blindspot is Vic's 4th solo album, released in 2008. Vic sings & plays guitar, bass, organ, piano & banjo. Lisa Müller from German ska-swing band Black Cat Zoot sings on four songs. The album also features brass band, Fanfara Kalashnikov. Drums played by Andrei Kluge from Rolando Random & The Young Soul Rebels.
