If you own ONE PEARL RING, this is a statement piece that should not be overlooked, and one which certainly WILL NOT BE OVERLOOKED ON YOUR HAND!!! Our estate jeweler estimates the ring to be mid-20th century. It has that modernist / brutalist flair and the head keeps building outward to cradle the large pearl. The pearl measures approximately 10.8 x 10 mm, as it is somewhat asymmetrical. The entire ring feels fabulous on the hand--the shank has a sculpted design visible on the outside, but the goldsmith left it nice and smooth on the inside for a comfort fit. Enough said...I LOVE THIS RING! The face measures 5/8" north to south and the head rises 1/2" off the hand. It is stamped 14K, no maker's initials. It weighs a hefty 7.5 grams (most of that is in the gold mounting) and it is a size 6.25 (sizeable by a competent jeweler). This vintage modernist handmade pearl ring is in MINT condition.
