Description: Gorgeous late1940's Foxbrownie for Montaldo's full length gown with black lace and sheer nude fabric bodice and satin skirt. The dress is structurally in excellent condition. There are a few spots under the arms and the back of the bodice where there is damage to the lace. There is an extra layer, similar to a slip, sewn into the bodice. The dress has the original belt and a back zipper closure. Foxbrownie (or Fox-Brownie, as it is sometimes seen) was formed in 1937 by designer Stella Brownie and partner William Fox.
