Description: This is our rarely used vintage Hot Pot cooker, a Chinese/Asian pot used to cook vegetable and meat, etc. in the flavored soup broth in the "moat", for a traditional celebratory "steam boat" dinner on festive occasions at family gatherings. We purchased this (heavy) metal (iron) pot in the mid-1970's when coal was used to heat up the broth for a family "hot pot" dinner celebration on family re-unions. The shiny exterior finish doesn't rust. This Lotus (brand) hot-pot was Made in China. This collectible hot pot measures approximate 10.5" in diameter at the top, 9" tall and 6.25" at the base, not including the lengths of the extended handles. The photos are of the actual item.
