Description: An uncommon, well scaled and finely crafted circular Teak/Mutenye serving board having an end grain cutting surface and a sculptural recessed well. The staved end grain center section (end grain is hard, durable and ideal for cutting, like butcher block) is surrounded by a slightly dished outer rim. Designed by Jens Quistgaard for Dansk as part of the Rare Woods line produced in the early 1960's, model 1635. Made in Denmark. This piece is in excellent condition. It is perfect platter for serving cheeses, hors d'oeuvres or a beautiful charcuterie. A must have for Vintage Dansk collectors or those who love Mid-century Modern and entertaining, or both!
