Description: This auction is for a vintage Dietz electric comet lantern H-15 Made in Syracuse, N.Y. It takes 2 D batteries, not included. Globe is embossed H-15 DIETZ in circle Syracuse N.Y. U.S.A. on one side and the other side Comet Reg'd U.S. Pat. Off. Base has embossed DIETZ COMET on one side and other side Made in United States of America. Red paint is nice and bright (one speck off on bottom. The battery case in nice condition. It uses 2D batteries and 1 No. 14 bulb. I put batteries in it and the bulb did work for a minute but then I could not get it to work again so I assume it needs a new bulb. I'm including the original box (bad shape) for you to see how to replace batteries and bulb. Great to add to your collection. Any questions please ask.
