Description: Vintage Fiorelli-Coppi "Campionissimo" frameset - Columbus Double Butted tubing ( not sure whether it's SL or SLX, but the Campionissimo was Fiorelli's top of the line, and would have used SL up to the introduction of SLX). Based on the remaining original components when I got it (from the original owner), this was a 1984 or 85, which is right when the transition from one to the other occurred. Anyway... Nice tubing, either way! 52 cm seat tube (c-c), 53 cm top tube. Angles look like 74 deg. parallel - classic 80's Italian frame geometry. 70mm Italian threaded Bottom Bracket, Italian threaded (25.4mm x 24F) fork. Campagnolo dropouts and derailleur braze-on, and shifter bosses. All the other typical braze-ons as well... Dropout spacing is 100mm front, 126.5mm rear. Paint is a deep violet metallic with yellow accents and nice chrome forks and stays. Paint condition is quite good for a 40 year old bike with a few scrapes and chips (see pics), and decals are also in good shape, with a couple of exceptions (mainly the almost disappeared "Campionissimo" on the non-drive side, and the world championship decal on the seat tube. Chrome is in good shape as well with no significant surface rust. Includes a serviceable Campy/Tange Levin 1" threaded headset (sorry, that's what was on it!), and a Campy binder bolt. 5.8 lbs as shown with fork & headset. This frame can easily be restored to a classic 80's set up with downtube shifters, etc, or updated with an easy stay adjustment to 130mm spacing for 10-11 speed setups at your LBS.
